Tilapia with Creamy Sauce

This turned out well. I did half the lemon juice and it still turned out alittle tart. I think bread crumbs would help this recipe out.

Cornell Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
I will use this again...just not with chicken breast. This should be used with bone-in chicken. Added alittle garlic powder and less salt. This reminds me of shavetta's chicken from around here. Very good and something different to throw on the grill.

Maryland Crab Cakes II

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
Good and simple!! I had nothing but crab meat in the house and went searching for anything really. I came across this bec I had everything. It turned out pretty good. Only thing is I had to use alot more breadcrumbs or there would be no way it would have stayed together. I'd make again but probally would add more seasoning and erbs.

Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
The flavor was a bit off...Im not really sure what it was..maybe the tomato soup?? I really liked the way the cabbage turned out but something was wrong with the sauce. I'll try this again but use the suggested tomato sauce instead of the soup.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
This was THA BOMB!! I pretty much kept it the same. Except used flour to thicken,Omitted salt. Wanted to spice it up so I chopped up some pepperoncins, added hot sauce, black pepper and chili powder. Tip: Put sirlion in freezer for a few mins its easier to cut. My only complaint was it was a bit expensive but I will make this as much as possible. Goes great with sticky rice:) Thx!

Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
Fantastic! Im not really a pork chop fan bec it always turns out dry. This was my first time making it in the slow-cooker and it was soo tender. The first step I kept the same (except added basil). 2nd I sauted the onion than added the water and cube. Put broth in pot and on low for 4 hours. I took about a cup of broth out of cooker mixed cream of mush, sour cream, mushrooms, squeezed half a lemon and seasoned. Than put on top of chops. I had with mashed potatoes and carrots. I really liked this and am going to make again. I will always do my chops in the slow cooker from now on.:::UPDATE::: Made this again bec I liked it soo much! There was a sale on Pork Chops. I didnt think they differ too much. I bought Sirlion Pork Chops and made this again exactly as stated and It turned out really dry!! Will def never buy Sirlion Chops again:( Im going to stick with bone-in regular Chops!!

Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Just a really great snack!! I added garlic salt, parsly and 1 teaspoon canola oil at the end. The peas turn in to sortof a nut.(b-f said they were like pumpkin seeds) My only complaint was that they all were different but I think that was my fault. It looked like they were gonna burn after 30mins so I took the heat off. Next time ill just watch them real carefully so they dont burn. Love this! thx!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
Delish!! I did use an egg so the breadcrumbs would stick. Also used the sauce suggested(cream of chicken, lemon juice and sour cream) but I added peas. Next time I will double the ham and cheese. Very Good! My b-f loved this and couldnt stop commenting on it:)

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
This was tasty! I liked it more than b-f did he thought it was plain but that could of been my fault. I didnt cut the chicken up bec I though it would dry out I just put it in whole. I used red wine vinegar and added basil and pepper. I cooked this on low for 4hrs and it was great very moist. Next time Im either going to chop chicken up near the end or thicken the sauce and add it on top. Onions were very good. Im gonna cook this every 3rd chicken I get.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
I went with reviews and halfed the spagetti sauce, added tomato paste, diced tomatoes and italain seasoning. I still had alot of sauce which was great with sausage in the slow cooker. Only put on low for about 3 1/2 hours and it was done. I would make again but only once every 4-6 months.(had with spinach)

Easy Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I liked this! Didnt change much just added paprika and parsley. Also didnt have brocolli. My fish turned out perfect baked 375 for 20 mins. Dont care much for the veggies they did have a fishy taste to them but I think that may be why the fish turned out so good. My boyfriend said "This is the best tilapia you have made so far" and I make this fish alot. I eat fish once a week so this will be one recipe on the rotating fish list.
