About this Cook
I am a wife and mother of three children. My husband and kids have been absolutely great in being my guinea pigs at the kitchen table. They have tried more things that they normally would not have tried and I think their openness to new foods has expanded.
My favorite things to cook
I am always trying new recipes. I do not think that I ever cook the same meal twice because I love experimenting and trying new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I loved cooking with my grandwother in her custom farm kitchen. I miss the smells that would come from her kitchen. I try my best to recreate her recipes, but know that they will never be the same.
My cooking triumphs
Once a month or freezer meals. They have been a complete godsend for our family. I love finding new recipes and seeing if they will freeze well. It is nice to always have a meal in the freezer whenever we need it.
My cooking tragedies
Oh there are too many to write down. My only tradgedy would be if I gave up completely and I am not ready to do that.

Baked Omelet
I have to say that we loved this recipe. I doubled the recipe and did not have motz cheese, but I had some pepperjack cheese so I added that instead. Otherwise I made it just as ordered. The kids loved it...which is always a bonus! I sauted some mushrooms, onions and collard greens with garlic for a side. Thanks for a great meal. I will be making this over and over again.

Roasted Tomatillo and Garlic Salsa
This recipe was fantastic, and it carried with it a nice KICK! I roasted the tomatillos, garlic, jalapeno and also added an onion for about 20 minutes and then I broiled them. Then mixed in the blender and added some slat and lime juice. This will be good with chips and also enchiladas.

Mom's Zucchini Bread
This recipe was wonderful!!! So moist and delicious. I substituted half of the oil for applesauce and added a touch of nutmeg to the mix. I was able to make 2 large loaves and a mini loaf with the mix. Very good!!! This recipe is a definate keeper.
