Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
YUM! These were amazing! I have never made ribs or my own BBQ sauce before, and these were definitely a hit. I skipped the whiskey because I didn't have it, and the sauce was great anyway. This recipe's a keeper!

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
This is one of our favorite dishes. I can't believe I've waited so long to rate it! I've made it multiple times, and it's perfect. I add a few cloves of garlic because it just seem unnatural to have garlic-less tabouleh. We smother pita with hummus, add the tabouleh, and sprinkle feta on top. Delish! My only hesitation in making this is all the chopping that goes into it. I am planning on purchasing a food processor just so I can make this more often!

Tangy Almond Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
These were delightful! Easy to make, and very tender with a light, tangy flavor. I also grilled up some veggies, and put everything over rice.

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
This is a great, quick way to use up some extra eggs and whatever cheese and veggies you have lying around! I usually don't like the crust of quiche, and with this recipe, who needs it?!?

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
This is my favorite soup ever. I cook the chicken in with the soup and shred it a little before serving. So easy!

Kettle Corn

Awesome! I use my Whirley Pop hand-crank, stove-top popcorn popper. I add a little salt at the end to give it that salty/sweet taste from our fairs.

Fig and Olive Tapenade

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
Holy, sweet mother of all things delicious! This is one of my favorite recipes. I use fresh figs and cut the water in half. Everybody always wants the recipe.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

This was a pretty good recipe. I don't usually like coleslaw, but this was good.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
This cornbread is amazing! I'll never make another kind. I followed the advice of other reviewers and used half the butter and sugar. I also followed Lindsay's advice and cheated by using a Jiffy mix. And finally, I only make half a batch because it's just me and my husband, so the can of diced chiles that I get is twice what the recipe calls for, but I throw the whole can in anyway. It's perfect every time.

Barbecue Tofu Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
This was my first attempt at cooking tofu and it turned out pretty well. I think I cut the tofu wrong to begin with because I ended up having to fry lots of little pieces. Next time I'll slice it so I have the biggest surface area cut. Overall it was pretty easy. I followed another reviewers suggestion to add worsterschire sauce and garlic salt to the tofu before cooking. I served it on Kaiser rolls with cheddar cheese, tomato, and lettuce. A whole block of tofu ended up making 3-4 sandwiches.

Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
This was really quick and easy after you get the bread thawed. I used a regular frozen bread dough, and it turned out really nice. Make sure you squeeze your seams securely. Mine ended up coming undone and exposing some of the innards, but the cheese just browned at that part so it almost enhanced the deliciousness. A great bread to freeze and have on hand for salad/pasta night when it's too hot to cook.

Grilled Lemon Herb Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
These were SO good! I was always afraid to make pork chops because I've only had chewy, flavorless ones. But this is going to be one of my favorite grilling recipes to make again and again. I followed the recipe exactly using bottled lemon juice and it turned out great. Very flavorful, and deliciously moist. I served it with grilled veggies and did a grilled sweet potato with butter, brown sugar and pecans for dessert.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
This is a great quinoa recipe. It was the first time I had ever made quinoa, and I love it so much that I haven't ventured out and tried a new recipe. I only add one can of black beans, and I add more corn. I also cut down on the cayenne pepper as the first time we made it was too hot for us.

Pennsylvania Dutch Corn Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
This was good. I stuck to the original recipe, and was quite pleased. I liked the sweetness of the pie crust, but it's a little too much crust (especially when reheating for leftovers). Next time I'll try it with more filling and just the top crust.

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

A little too cream-of-blah soup for me. I'd think about adding some brocolli or other veggies before I'd try it again.

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
Excellent salmon recipe! I was a little worried after I made the marinade and tasted a little. But I thought, "hey, 823 people can't be wrong". Two hours and 15 minutes later I found out they weren't. Everything plays together really nicely, and it was a definite hit at my house. I took the advice of others who don't have grills, and 425 for 15 in a foil packet was perfect.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
So easy, so moist, so delicious! I tried two different meats to see how they would turn out, and they were both awesome. One had quite a bit of fat on it, but the meat just fell apart when it was done so I was able to easily tease the fatty parts off. I'm definitely making this again and again and again . . .

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
Excellent meatloaf! Really easy, and extremely moist. I ended up making extra sauce just like lots of other reviewers, so you might want to make a double batch to start. Great for leftover meatloaf sandwiches!
