I am married with two wonderful children, a son of 11 years and a daughter of 21 months. Although I have lived in South Africa for 25 years I still enjoy the "British" style of cooking and baking. I remember making hot cross buns when I was first married and they looked lovely but were so hard they could have been used in a rockery!!! My dad was so sweet, he ate nearly all of them to save my feelings. Since then my husband bought me a bread maker and we haven't had a repeat performance.
