Apple and BBQ Sauce Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
Due to the high ratings I figured I should try this at least once instead of using my standby "Bill's Smoked BBQ Baby Back Ribs" I am disappointed that I did as this didn't turn out anywhere near as good as Bill's. I belive I had the same problem with the high heat as others. The sauce wasn't quite to our liking either. I will stick to " Bill's Smoked BBQ Baby Back Ribs" here on AR, they are the BEST.

Asparagus Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
It was very good except for the fact that there was way too much oil. I will do this again but use more butter and a LOT less oil. I belive I will saute it less and put it in the oven to finish and incorporate the cheese.

My wife used this and made them and they turned out great. She hates baking as much as I do so these are welcome in our house.

I guess I did something wrong. I followed it exactly but they came out like biscuits. Nothing like a dinner roll.

This is very good as far as it goes. For a added treat add 1/2 Cup of whiskey to the mix. Wonderful

Fast English Muffin Pizzas

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
My Mother made these 60 years ago and I have fed them to my kids for 40 years with many variations. Cheddar cheese, Bacon, sliced American cheese, mushrooms ETC. Sometimes Peanut Butter and Pre-cooked Bacon, and heat just to the melting of the PB. GO WILD with these, they are GREAT.

Salami

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
This to me was no more than a cooked and chilled meatball. The was no salami flavor at all as far as I could see. Would need some sort of seasonings added and probably smoked slowly. I'm sorry but this just didn't do it for us.

Bill's Braisin Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
Wonderful bread as is, but I used a no-name raisin bran and the second time I used the name brand raisin bran and it was a LOT better. So each time since I use the name bran which has more raisins. This makes excellent toast spread with butter, Cinnamon and butter or peanut butter.

Microwave Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2008
I have used the microwave to cook corn for years when there is no time to grill it. Just soak the corn in the husks, you don't need the paper towel and you don't have to husk it to remove the silk first. Just cook it, the silk falls right off when the corn is cooked. How long depends upon the power of your microwave. Start with 2 minuets, turn over and do another 2 minuets per ear if cooking 2 to 10 ears.

Quick Egg Roll Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
I doubled the soy sauce as it had a little too much vinegar and sesemee oil taste for my liking, and gave us a little extra sauce. Off hand it was good but I can't compare it to a purchased sauce as I have never bought any.

Riblets and Sauce

I had to add a cup of water to the mix to have enough to marinate the pork. It was good, but I belive I will add some brown sugar and a few drops of hot sauce the next time. Thanks for the recipe, my wife devoured it.

Country Sausage Gravy

Very good, however to turn this into a 5 star I would reduce the chicken bullion to 1 cube, not two. Also use 1 cup skim milk and 1 cup fat free 1/2 & 1/2 for better flavor and less fat.

Potato Pancakes

I used a food processor too and ground up everything. I did add a touch of garlic for just a touch of flavor. These were good fried in canola oil for a lot less fat and I also soaked the potato in some water for a little less starch.

Excellent, I used the fat free 1/2 & 1/2 as I do on all sauces. used co/jack cheese. You realy need to enjoy this. So easy and so good. I also used granulated garlic instead of garlic salt to cut down on the sodium.
