I am married to a wonderful man who is a wildland firefighter. We have 3 children and another baby on the way! I especially love to cook fun holiday foods like spaghetti and eyeballs for Halloween or Mayflower cupcakes for Thanksgiving. I am part Norwegian, we would always have lefse on the table growing up. It is still part of our tradition. Baking tons and tons of cookies around Christmas, was always a favorite. My children look forward to it every year. I have gotten so comfortable with cooking that I can look in the cupboard and throw some ingredients together and it usually turns out pretty tasty. Something else I learned to do was to salvage food before it takes a wrong turn before the cooking process is complete. For some reason, when I am trying to impress someone like a boss for example, the food doesn't turn out as great as it usually does on every other day.
