I doubled the sauce and doubled the orange zest too. Wow! The flavor was intense. My husband thought the flavor was a little too much. I liked it, although it would have been better with less intense orange flavor. Next time I won't double the orange zest. Still better than any take out! Also, only added half of the ginger per other reviews and that was the right thing to do. Otherwise, it would have been overpowering too.
The key to crispy, not overcooked beef strips is to make sure your oil is very hot. Also, I took the advice of other reviewers and waited ten minutes after coating them with cornstarch before frying them. Their done after a few minutes. Don't walk away from them!
