About this Cook
I am the mother of 3 grown children. My husband and I are full time RVers. This can make cooking a challenge because of space and equipment.
My favorite things to cook
I have learned to cook in cast iron dutch ovens. This is outdoor cooking over a fire or charcole. Foods cooked this way have a wonderful full flavor. I have "mastered" the Allrecipes "Get a Husband Brunswick Stew" using the dutch oven. I get raves every time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family enjoys cooking together when ever we are all in the same place for a big meal. With a son in the Air Force, this isn't as often as I would like.
My cooking triumphs
Again, everything I have cooked in the cast iron oven, has turned out very good. Pineapple upside cake, blackberry cobbler, Pioneer beans and porkchops with rice.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to recall! The worst was when I invited a group over and cooked an entire meal that was for the first time. The main course was a tragedy.

Seared Tuna with Wasabi-Butter Sauce
Very good recipe. I love seared tuna. I like mine rare and this works well for that. If I'm in a hurry, I just use a tube of Wasabi paste and not make the butter sauce.

Mai Tai II
I love this drink! It is so easy to make and is perfect every time. I buy the small cans of pineapple juice so I can make 2 at a time for my sweetie and me.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler
I fixed this at the last minute for a quick dessert. I used blueberries and was pleased with the results. My guest said it was very good. I will use this again.
