Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing
This is a fantastic recipe and I have been making this stuffing for a few years. My family usually asks for my two stuffings each year and this one is a favorite. I have changed this recipe to add some of the flavors I love. I have substituted the turkey sausage using pork sausage, and it gave it a great taste. Two years ago, I realized I did not have any dried cranberries, so I used fresh cranberries. Instead of using the measurements for the cranberries, I added them until I thought there was an even coating throughout the stuffing. I also used Granny Smith apples instead of the recommended Golden Delicious. All of the substitutions turned out great. Please note, as other reviewers have mentioned, if you are using this as a stand alone dish, you will want to add more broth.

Sausage and Wild Rice Stuffing
I found this recipe several years ago, and made it a month prior the Thanksgiving as a trial. I fell in love with it, making it part of my holiday menu.
