Scalloped Potatoes I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
Pretty yum** I used cream of mushroom soup, (what I had on hand)- Turned out good- added a little extra onion- sprinkled cheese in between layers (like others suggested) and on top- only thing - make sure you check for doneness- after an hour, my potatoes were not done - I assumed after an hour they would be cooked- mistake - I microwaved to finish cooking- thanks- would definitely like to use ched soup next-

Candied Carrots

YUMMO!! Only way my dh will eat carrots!!! Makem sweet- works well with sweet potatoes too!! I use a 1# bag of baby carrots!! Cuts labor way down!!! I also punch a small hole in carrot bag and add a little water and let them steam in microwave- drain water off in colander (let'em sit and steam off) and add other ingredients and carrot to a micro safe bowl and microwave a couple mins. -- so easy -- dash of cinnamon is good also!!!! try it!!! You'll like it!!!!!

Coconut Raspberry Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
Very rich- great flavor in small doses- only change- I did not have walnuts, used pecans. Even after spraying pan, mine stuck. but... I used a metal pan and maybe that had something to do with it- I sprayed the heck out of it though- Husband thought they were yummy- He loves raspberries!!! Like I said, a little goes a long way!!! Would try again in glass pan- Thanks...

Chicken and Chinese Vegetable Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Doubled the sauce(including water) to make Lo-mein .. Turned out good- added ginger-but.... It was kinda "rich"- don't know if it was the extra thick oyster sauce I used or what- next time I will not double the sauce I will just add a little more water and not oyster sauce and use extra cornstarch-- My 10 year old son lovvvved it!!! Of course adding 12 oz. noodles makes a meal that would feed a small chinese village-- yum!!! leftovers!!!!!!
