About this Cook
I am a (semi) Vegan with an occasional organic milk/egg in a dessert which makes me a Vegetarian. I do cook animal products for my family but try to buy the best products that are free of chemicals. I'm a real stickler when it comes to cooking healthy.
My favorite things to cook
Vegan and (organic) Vegetarian dishes are my ultimate dishes to create. My family is a meat eating group so I am always on the look out for easy slow cooking dishes which makes for little to no handling of the animal meat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
"Mystery Dishes" ... Trying new dishes that are way off our normal list of likes. I'll personally pass on all the animal meat though.
My cooking triumphs
Learning as I go, getting it right at least half of the time, trying again till it's right, hated or loved. That makes for a lot of "triumphs" let me tell ya!
My cooking tragedies
Humilitate myself on purpose? No thanks. LOL

Apple Pie I
My 18-year-old daughter's favorite dessert is the apple pie. When I told her I was trying this recipe, she cringed. I went exactly as described and now I am "not allowed" to use any other. My daughter states the cinnamon is what does the trick, plus fresh apples, which my other recipe called for neither. (It is now referred to as 'the fake recipe'.) I have made your apple recipe a few times already and each time, it is very delicious. It is going down in my hall of fame recipe book. Thank you!

Ground Turkey Noodle Bake
My family enjoyed this meal. I served it with broccoli on the side but like another reader, I used spaghetti sauce instead of tomato because of the preference. I added garlic salt, onion powder and basil to the dish. It was very simple to create which I love the most. It is a keeper.

Too Much Chocolate Cake
I did this recipe as is. The morsels threw it off for me. I should have listened to another who used mini morsels but now, they have to go! I had this deliciously created cake and then I'd get a nasty taste of cocoa from the morsels. The morsels did not blend well for my tastes (although they melted) with the other chocolates. They were like the 3rd uninvited guest coming to ruin the party. I'm not giving up though: I am going to make it again (it is good, worth it *and* sweet!) but with OUT the morsels. I know it will be a keeper of a recipe!
