Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

It's missing something for me and I can't figure out what. I left out some of the sour cream as other suggested and it was still creamy. I also mixed cheese in and added it on top. I even added those french fried onions but still not the same as the kind made with soup...

Pretzel Salad

I love this salad! Jello is never a huge hit at Thanksgiving dinner, which is fine with me because I get the leftovers! I used pineapple juice in place of water but even if I hadn't, it still would have tasted great!

Orange-Honey Glazed Ham

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

I'm usually not a fan of sweet potatoes but it's a Thanksgiving staple so I made this and really like it! I made a heart design out of marshmallows on top to please those who like that topping and finished with the pecan toppings along the edges of the dish.

Wonderful! Followed the recipe exactly, except I drizzled the caramel the night before I served it without thinking it wouldn't look pretty the next day. It had all run together but still tasted great!!

Ham and Cheese Bagels

I've made these a few times for my toddlers because they are very good and just their size. We especially love the tomato bagel but either one is so quick and easy to make and perfect on the go.

Gramma's Old Fashioned Chili Mac

I loved it and my toddlers asked for seconds! So easy to make. I added a little more noodle just for preference. My husband wants it a little thicker so next time I think I'll swap the soup for paste.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

This was definately a creamy dish and a great base recipe. I used a medium cheddar in place of the american cheese. I also added lots of garlic and onion powder to the cheese mixture. I'll have to quadruple the recipe for Thanksgiving because I know it will be another huge hit!

Wonderful! My friend said she wanted to eat it by the spoonful just like another reviewer said :) I made this with 8oz strawberry cream cheese and extra creamy whipped cream. No problems with texture or consistency. Next time my friends want me to add some crushed pineapple.

American-Italian Pasta Salad

Huge hit at my daughters birthday party. Kids and adults went for it. I hate celery so for crunch I added some thinly sliced baby carrots. I chilled it overnight with most of the dressing on then added some extra dressing just before serving and it was great! Will definately be making again and again.

Beautiful Salad

I loves salads like this but my husband usually skips them. My 2 and 3yo kids love it! I left out the red onion and the only honey roasted nut I could find was cashews. I used a raspberry vinaigrette instead of basalmic. Can't wait to have more for lunch today.

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Really great recipe. We didn't have the beef consomme either so I added a couple beef bouillon cubes as someone else suggested. I also sauteed some onions on the same pan I made the sauce in to give it more flavor. Not quite restaurant flavor but still good.

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

We love this recipe more than the Boilermaker chili recipe that's so famous on this site! This one is much simpler, which I love. I added a can of corn and I used stewed tomatoes, sliced, as that was what I had on hand. I added more tomato and cumin, thanks to other reviewers. Topped off with some sourcream, shredded mexican cheese and crackers on the side. Great!

Tortilla Rollups IV

This is a great recipe! I added some corn and sliced black olives for color and texture. I ran out of flour tortillas and switched to corn, which I didnt like as much. I still ended up with leftover filling so I put it on a bagel :) I also didn't have fiests ranch as my commissary doesn't carry it so I used mostly taco seasoning with some regular ranch seasoning instead. Still great taste.

Garlic Chicken

My family, including 2 toddlers, loved this chicken! It was unbelievably moist. I added more garlic and some Italian dressing. Next time I think I'll add some dry mustard as someone else suggested to give it even more flavor.
