About this Cook
Hi there, I live in Ohio and married. No children just pets. Will be married this year for 20 years. Kind of a homebody and like to work in the kitchen alot. That or gardening. We put out a big garden and make our own tomatoe juice and salsa and what ever else we grow for that year. Like doing the landscaping around the house. We have 1 dog ( golden retriever) and 2 cats. Did do the wood crafts a few years ago. Not so much anymore only when I want something made for the house.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook, but mostly bake! I like to try new desserts and cookies. I am the one that always makes to desserts to take to family functions and get togethers. Come Christmas time I have so many different cookies that I make and I pass them all out to friends and co workers. I like to bake but have to give them all away so I don't eat them all.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I guess that would be baking! My grandfather was a baker and would make up his own recipes and my grandmother would bake alot too. I guess I get that from them and my mom.
My cooking triumphs
There isn't anything that comes to mind? Usually whatever I try to make is edible so I guess thats a triumph!! haha
My cooking tragedies
I made a banana cream pie one time to try it. I don't care for the pie but I thought i'd try it for my mom, she likes them. So I made it and took it into work for the guys to try first. When the guys at work sliced it to take a piece it ran all out of the crust! It looked terrible. But they said it was very good! It didn't last long, they ate it all!!! I never tried it again!

Strawberry Cream Roll
Just made this today and made two of them so I could give one to my day and I think he'll love it!!! I know my husband and I did. I didn't have whipping cream, so I just used a 8 oz. container of whipped cream and used an 8 oz. bar of cream cheese with the strawberry powdered jello. The filling would even be good for a graham cracker crust pie!!! VERY GOOD RECIPE!!!

Raspberry Pie I
I fixed two of these pies for Thanksgiving to use up some of my berries. It was fantastic!!!! I used a bigger pie pan so I had to use 1 1/2 times the berries to fill the pan, but it was GREAT!! Glad I found this recipe, THANKS!!!!
