Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
I read reviews and changed the recipe a little. I used 1 package of Lipton dry onion soup mix. I mixed 1 tablespoon of the dry soup mix and 1/3 cup of water in the meat mixture. I browned the patties on the stove. I mixed the remainder of the onion soup mix with 1 cup of water and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. I put the patties in a casserole dish and topped with gravy mixture. I baked in oven for 30 minutes. This was fantastic. I served with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy for the patties and potatoes. This was very easy and quick to make.

WOW, this was fantastic. Made this for a family event and had plenty left over for many lunches.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
Wow! This was excellent! My family really enjoyed the flavor of the moist chicken. I pierced the chicken with a fork before pouring the honey mustard over it. I added all the honey mustard mixture to the chicken at once over before baking it. Then I covered the chicken with foil. The chicken was moist, tender and flavorful.

Fantastic! The ground almonds gave this cake a great texture. My family loved the flavor.

Easter Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
I used sausage instead of bacon which was very good. Our family seems to like the breakfast casseroles with the bread better than the hash browns. The hash browns gave it a different texture with the eggs.

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
We love hot spicy things, but the rub on this roast made the ends uneatable. The gravy I made from the roast was also very spicy. This was not a wow meal. I would leave out the cayenne pepper next time or look for a new rub.

I followed the recipe exactly and we found this dinner very bland. The milk gravy had no flavor.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
Great chicken! It was moist and easy to prepare. I cut up the chicken breast into 3" squares. It cooked up fast and it was easy to manage in the frying pan. This size also made it easy to serve. I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. Maybe a little more healthy?

Salsa Chicken

Wow! This was easy and delicious. I coated both sides well with taco seasoning. I used hot salsa for the topping. The chicken was moist and tender and full of flavor. Great for a quick dinner.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
Great pie, but I think it could have been more flavorful. I did not have the veggies, so I supplemented 4 cups of Birds Eye frozen mixed vegetable. I also added 3 potatoes. It just seemed a little bland. My husband said it was good, but it needed more chicken. I'll try again.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
This chicken was different. I would definitely make it again, but not every week. I also cut the vinegar down to 1/4 cup. I am glad I did because the vinegar taste was very strong. I cut the chicken breast up into big pieces and served it over rice and had broccoli as a side.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
I made these cinnabons for the first time on Easter morning. I followed the recipe exactly, but my first batch of six buns came out burnt after only 12 minutes of being into the oven. The next batch I cut the time down to 10 minutes at 400, and they did turn out much better. Next time I will try a 350 oven. The hotter over just made the bottom burnt.

Frosted Brown Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
The cookie has a cake like texture, but it was good. The frosting cooled in a dry lump. I added more milk and then I was able to frost the cookies. The frosting dried up again before I had a chance to finish frosting. The whole cookie does taste like brown sugar. Maybe if you find a vanilla frosting, the brown sugar flavor would not be so over whelming.
