Chocolate Velvet Ice Cream
Made a double batch for a BBQ this weekend and it was WONDERFUL. I added all of the ingredients but the chocolate and heated it to 170. Then added mini chocolate chips, which melted just fine. At the end of the ice cream maker cycle I added an additional 1/3 c. of mini chocolate chips which gave it a little something extra. Excellent recipe, definitely a keeper.

Clams and Chourico
This is a really great clam recipe. The cornmeal is to get the sand out of the clams, so unless you're harvesting your own you can probably skip that step. This is also great with mussels. Spanish or Portuguese chourico is the key, you can't use the Mexican kind.

Alder Wood-Smoked Acorn Squash Soup
This is a great addition to Thanksgiving. If you have a smoker the acorn squash can be cooked for a few hours at the same time as the turkey, which gives it exceptional flavor. A keeper for sure!
