writer. reader. poet. new wife. no kids but 2 dogs. i love to cook and bake. mexican food is my specialty; but i love to make italian food and i love to bake cakes and cookies. my mother's enchiladas, tamales, and fried chicken recipes are staples. my grandmother makes the perfect mexican rice that try as i might, i can't duplicate :) italian food, mastering my mom's recipes, making an entire thanksgiving meal on my own from scratch last year, and i've become a pretty good cake decorator/baker. eh i might have burned some things a few times.
