I am a 30 year old wife and mother of 2 wonderful children. I am currently cooking impared, and seem to be fixing the same boring dishes week after week. One day while looking for a fast, easy, and inexpensive dish on the net I came across this website. I LOVE IT!!!!! and I think my family loves it too.... I am a born again cook!!!! Thanks AR!!!!
My favorite things to cook
I cook alot of chicken...although my family and I enjoy red meat it seems like chicken is the choice here. I love Mexican food!!! I love making one dish meals...fast and easy for the busy family!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandmothers Christmas sugar cookies. These are simply the Best cookies on earth and the frosting is to die for!!! My Grandma used to make these every Christmas....I remember my Dad telling me that when he was young he would remember My Grandma making hundreds of these cookies in her little kitchen and then my Grandpa would frost them(what a great memory). My dear Grandmother pasted away last spring and I will be making these for my family and Dad this year and for many years to come in her loving memory. Love you Grandma!!! (will post this recipe soon!!)
My cooking triumphs
Just making something that actully works!!!!
My cooking tragedies
Oh my...lets see...I remember hosting and making my first Christmas dinner. I had never cooked a ham before and was quiet excited!!! I remember rubbing it with brown sugar..placing pineapples on top and basting it over and over. I have to say when I took it out of the oven it looked great!! Carving time came... I did not know there was a wrapper to remove from the ham!!!! So needless to say all of my hard work was for nothing!!! Ham still tasted good but wasnt what i wanted!!!!
