About this Cook
Just discovered about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago that I love to cook, especially dessert. I absolutely love food, not so sure why it took me so long to start cooking!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make dessert, whether it's cookies, cakes, pies, bars, cupcakes, candies, etc. Especially if it's chocolate!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have such a small family that we don't have too many traditions, but I'm trying to create new ones and resurrect some oldies, such as baking birthday cakes for each person's birthday, making new dishes for the holidays, etc...
My cooking triumphs
Successfully made my first apple pie and tasted great! Next stop, carrot cake and tiramisu! Also learned how to make Chicken Tikki Masala to which my husband is truly grateful!
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt at strawberry pie didn't turn out so well, lol. Second time is the charm though!

Wave Your Flag Cake
Not a huge fan of Jello, but made this for my husband's family and they loved it! Cake got a little bit soggy, but it was really easy and fun to make and I loved decorating it like the American Flag! Definitely a great holiday treat!

Chicken Tikka Masala
This recipe was so incredibly easy and fun to make and I highly recommend it! I only used about 2-3 teaspoons salt instead of the 7 or 8 that it called for and used half-and-half instead of the heavy cream. It turned out really good and really spicy!! I recommend those that like a more mild spice to their dish to maybe use 1/2 a jalepeno or cut back on the cayenne pepper. But this dish was great!

Fresh Strawberry Pie I
My pie came out runny and never set. I followed the recipe exactly and it still didn't come out right. Will try another recipe.
