I started cooking when I was 10 years old. My mom said you're never really too young to start. Then I grew up and married a chef.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I also make a serious lasagna, and I'm probably best at tried and true classics.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I bake pumpkin cheesecakes every year for Thanksgiving, my kids and I decorate Christmas cookies each year, and I'm willing to experiment with new recipes every so often.
My cooking triumphs
I've mastered a non-spicy chili with fabulous flavor--for my non-spicy eating kids. I invented a fruit salad that my eldest daughter demands at least once a year, and a chicken noodle soup that she demands once a month.
My cooking tragedies
I cannot make fudge, much to my husband's chagrin. I haven't really attempted other candies, unless it simply involves melting chocolate.
