The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
So good. Exactly like the cookies from Cookie Bouquet. I roll them closer to 1/2 thick and ice them with royal icing. Great for Christmas and Valentine gifts.

Peppermint Meringues

Very good and simple to make. I gave them as Christmas gifts to my coworkers and everyone loved them. I did add about 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract, though because I love vanilla.

Mexican Bean and Squash Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
Very good base. I used veggie broth to make it vegetarian I used garbanzo beans, and added a can of black beans because it looked like it needed more substance. I didn't use sour cream or tortilla chips, though. Half of one squash made the two cups needed, but next time I'll put the whole squash in. It was a very tasty, healthy meal.

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: May 29, 2007
I took the advice of other reviews and lowered the temp, reduced cooking time and used less taco seasoning than the original recipe called for. I wish I had followed the recipe because they weren't at all crispy or spicy. However, they were still very tasty. I will make them again, but will follow the original instructions.

Seasoned Oven Fries

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Not as crunchy as I would have liked, but still very good. I used olive oil instead of butter and vegetable oil, though. My teenage daughter thought they were great!

Crunchy Oven Fried Tilapia

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
I drizzled olive oil on a foil covered pan (for easy clean up) and a little olive oil on top. It was crisy and had a nice crust just like fried fish but without the calories and oil! I added a little old bay seasoning to the bread crumb/corn meal mixture rather than basil, but next time I'll use lemon pepper instead. My husband said it was better than any fish he'd ever eaten!

Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
This was good, but I'd like it spicier so I think next time I'll add some hot pepper flakes. It would be good with just about any kind of meat or veggies added, too.
