I'm 27-year-old web designer with a passion for cooking! I love getting cookbooks and viewing recipes to try new dishes, and even add a little twist to the ingredients to make a meal more unique.
My favorite things to cook
I love making sushi! Ever since I got hooked on it several years ago, I decided to try and make it myself. I didn't think it would be so easy - although I only stick with the California and Tuna Rolls for now. :P I also love making different types of pasta. So far seafood pasta with alfredo sauce is my fav. I have a baking bug too. Albiet, I have yet to try making a loaf of bread from scratch! I like making cakes and cookies though.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday dinners were always a big thing in my family. Add Caribbean food into the mix and that adds up to a lot of cooking! Rice & peas, jerk chicken. Sunday breakfast was traditional too: Ackee & saltfish with dumplings were always delicious.
My cooking triumphs
Made a delicious flan from scratch on my first try.
My cooking tragedies
Putting too much brown sugar/honey onto some pork ribs and leaving the oven on too long that they caramelized into burnt toffee... :(

Soft Molasses Cookies II
Came out great! I increased the amount of spices a bit (another 1/2 tsp. or so), and also added some ground nutmeg and ground cloves. Next time I'll try splitting the sugars with white and brown like some others suggested. Brought a batch to work and everyone loved them!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings
Absolutely delicious! Great served with some blue cheese dipping sauce. Highly recommended!
