I always wanted to open a resturaunt, but never had the opportunity, or money. So have cooked for friends and family forever.
My favorite things to cook
I love experimenting. I especially like Italian recipes. Mexican food is also a treat to prepare. Mediterainian is great fun...lots of rice tomatoes chicken olives. But everyone says my steak on the grill is the best they have ever had. (That surprises me because I use a simple marinade)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Italian, Mexican,German, we were a military family as a child and my wife was a career navy person, so travel and new foods from all over the worl has always been a part of our culinary experience.
My cooking triumphs
Grilled Steak, Spagetti sauce, lasagna, pizza, beef stoganoff.
My cooking tragedies
peanut brittle....the worst ever. Venison roast (ham)...went to McDonalds after the roast went into the trash.
