About this Cook
I'm a graphic designer, musician, and amateur cook. Growing up, we ate home-cooked meals nearly every night of the week--fast food was a rarity. I am trying to follow suit as best I can, and cook healthy meals for my husband and me.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, no-pressure baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making Cinnamon Roll "tree" during the holidays with my mom. Instead of cutting into individual rolls, we coil it into the shape of a tree, frost and decorate it. It is then devoured on Christmas morning!
My cooking triumphs
When I was probably 15, I made an apple pie from scratch for some family friends. Their son, who I babysat, was in the hospital sick. They LOVED the pie and were so appreciative.
My cooking tragedies
Attempted apple turnovers with puff pastry from scratch...took ALL DAY and my puff pastry was hard and blaannnnd.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
So easy and tasty. Used first with one brand of BBQ that I didn't like...then tried Sweet Baby Rays like others suggested. Way better. I also used coke the second time when I didn't have any rootbeer...and it was great!

Fettuccine Alfredo V
Wow, I was so impressed with myself after I made this. It tasted better than some restaurant alfredo sauces I've tasted.

Thin Mint Crackers
These are pretty good, but definitely don't taste just like thin mints. Don't use dark chocolate chips with these unless you love dark chocolate. Use the Andes mint chips if you can find them. I tried them both ways...and the mint extract was just too strong.
