YUMMMY! Easy to make - great flavors, I used frozen shrimp & did add 1/2 cup white wine, but mixed in after it had baked a few minutes b/c initially I forgot. It was great!

Oh man - this is the best ever!! I did use 1/2 cup applesauce like other reviewers mentioned to make it a little healthier & I use chopped pecans because I have them in the freezer, but we LOVE this bread (and with 2 loaves - it's great to take one to the office or give to my in-laws!!)

YUM YUM YUM! I wondered about the 1/4 cup of chili powder, but the flavor of this mixture is wonderful! I did make changes for personal taste & texture, but for me, this was an excellent base to work from. Like others, I subbed out the tomato juice for 2 of the large cans of tomato sauce (29oz) and then the tomato sauce for 1 large can of diced tomatoes. I don't care for kidney beans so I used 1 drained can of pinto beans & 1 can of chili beans, partially drained. Chopped jalepeno pepper was a good addition. I served over macaroni noodles with some cheese & sour cream & it was SO GOOD!! My husband bragged for days!!
