About this Cook
I have been trying to expand my cooking skills by trying new things. I am very pleased by the progress I have made.
My favorite things to cook
Sunday morning breakfast and anything that excites my fiance.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My parents making "impossible butter cream candy" together. It's the only time my father is ever in the kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
Taking a very time consuming recipe and finding a quicker (and better tasting) way to make it.
My cooking tragedies
Tres Leche's cake is my "white whale". I don't know why I can't get it to turn out right. Also the time I was cooking with whiskey and singed the cabinets above my stove.

Rice and Chicken Casserole
I consider myself to be an above average cook and I could not get this to work. I thought it would be something easy to throw together and forget about. I tried this twice and both times the rice would not cook all the way through.

Curried Mango Chicken
Very easy but with a lot of flavor. My husband and his friends loved it.

Jeff's Sloppy Joes
This is a great recipe! I made it exactly how it said and my husband and I loved it. We used onion buns which was very complimentary to the flavors in the sloppy joe. Great recipe Jeff!
