Married to a wonderful guy who loves for me to try out different recipies. Two highschool girls (active in sports/4-H) active in their lives. live on 4 acres with assorted farm animals. Work the front desk/assit at a dental office. Love to entertain friends with food parties. Love to scrapbook!!!
My favorite things to cook
Cheesecake is my specialty.I love to give it out as gifts. Pastas, BBQ. Homemade pizza (love that bread machine) I cook a lot from scratch. Would love to learn how to cook good Asian food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Stoodles: They are a german dumpling made with flour, egg and water. Mix, roll out, brush with bacon grease or butter, roll and slice. Place in your beef stew approx. 20 minutes. YUM! Serve with red cabbage dish.
Chapino: Everyone sitting around with dishtowls around their necks!!!

Took me 8 years to learn how to fry up some chicken correctly.
My cooking tragedies
At 17 was unexpectedly a CAMP cook. RICE! Adding more rice half way through cooking time. YUCK! The whole summer was experimental. Poor kids.
Trying to use dry basil for pesto pizza....don't do that. I can't bake a layered cake and frost it. :(
