About this Cook
I am still working so my time in the kitchen is limited. In enjoy looking at recipes and getting ideas and now that our grandson is living with us, I am expermenting more.
My favorite things to cook
things with chicken. We eat a lot of chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Turkey dinners at Thanksgiving
My cooking triumphs
My pecan pie came out wonderful the first time. One of the best I have ever tasted.
My cooking tragedies
Dumping a first time coffee cake with cherries and sour cream and cream cheese in the door of my oven. I cryed because it was supposed to go to the church women's fellowship.

Ginger Steak
Good combination. I grilled the steaks on a George Forman grill and over cooked the steaks but the flavor was good with this recipe. I would use this again and cook the steaks for 4 minutes for medium and about 3 minutes for rare steaks.

Spaghetti Squash II
This was great! My squash too longer to cook due to its size, about 1 1/2 hours. But the flavor was great. I would do this recipe again. My husband loved it. It's a keeper.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread
OH My! Was this cornbread wonderful! I took this to a church function and it was gone in no time. It was so moist. I would put more green chiles in it next time and adapt it for my husband to be able to eat it. He is a diabetic.
