Unbelievable Fish Batter

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I cannot tell you how good this was. The only problem that I encountered was the first piece was sticking to the pan. I tried to loosen it and lost some of the batter. The next piece I let cook a bit and it came off and looked like something from a fine seafood restaurant. I also dipped some mushrooms and they came out unbelievably good as well. This was amazing- try it!!!

Spiced Applesauce Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
I am giving it 4 stars as written because I don't think it would have enough spice. I doubled all of the spices and added just a touch of nugmeg and it was a dense, moist and delicious bread. I think next time I would also add some chunks of apple.

Toll House Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
This was very rich, but delicious. Out of seven pies, and various other desserts that we had for Thanksgiving this was the only one that was completely gone- and quickly! I have had toll house pie at various restaurants, and was expecting something like a chocoate chip cookie in a pie crust. This came out more like a rich chocolate pie- it tasted similar to the chocolate in the middle of chocolate croissants. Very good but very rich!

Crunchy Peanut Butter Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I made these last Christmas to rave reviews. I just started thinking about them trying to figure out what cookies to make this year, and realized I had never rated them. They are very sweet, but really delicious. I will definitely make them each year.

Shredded French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
Great flavor and so easy to put together. I used 1 can progresso french onion soup and one can beef broth and let it cook for about 8 hours and it was delicious and tender. Served on toasted rolls. Next time I might add some provolone or swiss cheese.

Easy Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
Very, very go od. I used a carrot cake mix with the pumkin and pumpkin pie spice. They were surprisingly moist and great taste! Will definitely make again.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
This is absolutely incredible. I made a pot one night, and it was so good I made another batch the next night since I still had some ham left. I left the celery out, but other then that I prepared exactly as written. Really good flavor, and it really could not be easier to make.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
The way it came out for me it did not impress me too much. I think I used too hot of a buffalo sauce. I tried to tone it down, but it seemed to be a lost cause, and I ended up throwing a good portion away. If I were to make this again, I would use a milder buffalo sauce and possible add the prepared ranch dressing in as another suggested instead of just the powdered mix.

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Excellent cookie. I read through some of the reviews and slipped a knife around the edge and they came right out of the pan. I made half with a combination milk chocolate and peanut butter chips, and the other half the way it was written. I will make these this year for an annual cookie exchange.

Boston Brown Bread III

This was the easiest, best tasting bread. The only change I made was to add 3/4 cup raisins. It is moist and slightly sweet. Excellent!!

Chipotle Mayo

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
Excellent- I was trying to duplicate something I had on a slider at Red Robin. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is that I did add some garlic powder and lime juice, as others have suggested. It turned out very good. I served it with sliced filet mignon, provolone and crispy fried onions on a roll. I can't wait to try it on a turkey sandwich!

Unbelievable Chicken

This was so wonderful and easy. I marinated it all day and it turned out spectacular! My son, who usually would eat a couple bite of chicken was tearing it up. I will definitely be making it again.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I actually made 3 of these in the past 24 hours. I made the first one, and realized I accidentally put in 1/2 c. butter in the cake part. Since I was making it to give to someone I did not want to take the chance so I re-made it and had to sacrifice eating the first! It was great. I made the second as written, and decided to make a third to give away with the extra butter. All of them baked up beautifully.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
We loved these- they taste just like diner pancakes! I too, doubled the recipe and used butter in place of the shortning. They browned beautifully. I added blueberries to some and they were out of this world! This was just as easy as mix pancakes and so much better!

Sandy's Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
This was a very good, very easy cassarole. I used one can cream of chicken and one can of cream of mushroom soup. I left out the mushrooms since my DH doesn't like, and used onion powder instead of the chopped. I topped with the crunchy fried onions during the last 10 minutes of cooking. My husband was standing at the stove eating it out of the casserole dish!

These were just ok. I love the idea of a healthy muffin so I have been eating them for breakfast, but my kids really didn't care for them.

This ROCKS! When I first put everything together I thought my DH would hate it because it was chunky. He looked hesitant, but once he tasted it he loved it!!!

Chocolate Cluster-Peanut Butter Cake

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
I loved this cake!!!! At first I didn't think that there would be enough peanut butter mix left after filling the center of the cake, but there was plenty left to mix with the cool whip. A few of the people that I served this to did not care for it- but most did. What's not to like? I used peanuts that were already covered in chocolate.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
Very good! I only used one can of the cream of chicken soup because I thought it might be too much chicken flavor, but I didn't have enough gravy. Next time I think I will use 2 cans, but use 2 packets of the au jus. Very moist and flavorful patties. My husband said it was not like Salisbury Steak- but he really liked it!

Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
This was very good! I made it awhile ago and my husband still talks about it. Next time I think I will try to puree the onions a bit more since it was a little chunky, but the flavor more then makes up for it!!!!
