About this Cook
I am a student and work at a local natural foods grocery store.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking. I love vegetables. I love miso soup.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My fiance and I enjoy cooking together and trying new dishes. We are creating our family traditions each day.
My cooking triumphs
I lived at a yoga center in New York where I was resposible for cooking to feed the students and also the staff, usually serving about 12-20 people per meal. We served vegetarian dishes with no eggs, garlic, or onions. I learned how to make menus, time my dishes, and how to prepare things from scratch. A very nice experience.
My cooking tragedies
Burning myself, among other things.

Banana Muffins with a Crunch
Very nice muffins! They were very sweet. I did replace the granola with oats as I didn't have any granola on hand. I also omitted the banana chips as I don't care for them. But the muffins were very moist and quite sweet. WIll surely make this again.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad
Pretty good but something seemed missing from what I had as a child. Maybe we always had more pickles and eggs in it? I will try another recipe next time.

Corned Beef and Cabbage
Very good recipe. Made it exactly as stated and it came out great. I received a lot of compliments from the family. Thanks!
