Hello there. I'm Jason, I reside in Woodinville Washington, which is about 23 miles outside of Seattle proper. I'm a Software Engineer for a reputable cooking website, it's where Home Cooks Click. My wife is a 2nd grade teacher. We enjoy cooking for 2, for parties, and for family gatherings.
My favorite things to cook
Any kind of meat and fish. I love a good flank steak, or a nice salmon filet paired with a nice wine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well we're kind of just starting our family cooking traditions. Since we've bought a house we've been hosting Thanksgiving for both of our families. Staples of our T-Day menu are cheesey potato casserole, garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and brined turkey cooked in a countertop steamer, so succulent. We also make a nice spread for our annual holiday party which includes but is not limited to, swedish meatballs, deviled eggs, and gorgonzola cheese dip.
My cooking triumphs
I made chocolate covered strawberries this last Valentine's Day for my wife. Not extremely complicated, but they were very tasty, and scored me a lot of credit.
My cooking tragedies
I attempted to make Creme Broulee for my wife this last Valentine's Day, I think I used too many eggs, because it tasted like an egg souffle. Luckily the strawberries were good.
