If you're on the fence... try this recipe. Everyone is right. You cannot mess it up. I did not have Bread Flour... I used AP... and it came out great. I didn't use vegetable oil, I went with olive oil. I also followed the lead of so many of the reviewers, I added an extra 1/2 tsp of salt. If you're wondering, this is not a dense textured bread. It is very soft. It's almost Brioche like. I know it will become a regular at my house.

Like many that came before me... I also added 2T oil and some vanilla. The best thing about this recipe is it's versatility. I made my cookies from a spice cake mix. I added mini chocolate chips, walnuts and raisins. I also punched it up with some pumpkin pie spice. They are easy! Some pointers that others have mentioned: The dough is very stiff, a hand mixer will likely not be able to handle it. My stand KA had no problem. The chocolate versions are a bit sweet. A lot depends on your mix choice. It is a little cake-ier than many cookies... I have no problem with this, but if you do, change the recipe to one egg and one egg yolk.

How is this perfect for kids or anyone? As a treat, yes... but to pretend it's healthy is crazy. There is no fresh fruit, it's all syrup based canned. Then add sugar and fake whipped cream and white flour. Wow. It may be tasty, but treat it like a once in a while sugary dessert.
