About this Cook
I've been married to my wonderful husband, Kevin, for 14 years. We have two beautiful children ages 8 & 11. I love the beach, scrapbooking, and spending time with family.
My favorite things to cook
Any pasta dishes - manicotti, lasagne, stuffed shells.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I've been having my children help me in the kitchen since they were very little. My 8 year old daughter likes to pretend she's Rachel Ray in the kitchen with me as we add ingredients and whip up dinner!!
My cooking triumphs
My husband invited a friend over for dinner one night when I make bowtie pasta w/chicken - it's really yummy! He ended up eating 3 portions and asked for a doggie bag to take home. Needless to say I was very pleased. I also never know when someone or a group will stop by the house for dinner so I'm quite good at expanding my meal to accomodate more people.
My cooking tragedies
I'm a wonderful cook - but I don't do well with baking. My cakes are almost always lopsided and I burn cookies. I've also never been able to roll out dough!!

Buttermilk-Battered Calamari
WOW!! This recipe was wonderful -- I made it for Christmas Eve for the family and everyone (including the kids) loved it. They're already asking me to make it again!

Easy Apple Crisp
Unbelievably good -- my family loved it and it was so easy!! Especially good topped of with some vanilla bean ice cream.
