About this Cook
Basically I'm married mom of four, I have a full time job, and I'm a writer. Spare time??? Who has spare time? It took me six months to find our microwave plate after we moved three years ago.
My favorite things to cook
Simple. I'm a total read the directions on the back of the box cook. Sad, I know.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Thanksgiving we have each of children pick one recipe to make and contribute to the family meal.
My cooking triumphs
I made a banana split cake for my daughter's birthday over the weekend and it was edible. There may be hope for me yet.
My cooking tragedies
Can't think of any off hand but ask my oldest son about the green peanut butter cookies or the scrabbled eggs chocolate chip cookies. Not sure which was worse.

Red Potato Salad
I've made similiar recipes before but I really like this one. I made it for a Thanksgiving dinner because I don't care for sweet potatoes and I wanted a potato type dish. Great recipe for any time of year.

Apple Cranberry Crisp
It really annoys me when people say a recipe is great but then go on to say how changed half the recipe. I want to read reviews of what the recipes is like as is not after people change a majority of the ingredients. Sorry, rant over. I enjoyed this recipe. I made it to take to work and even people who don't eat cranberries were eating it. Great recipe, and yes this is a 'as is' review.
