Chocolate Oil Cake
Very nice texture - moist and soft. However, taste is not very chocolatey. Need chocolate frosting to perk it up.

Hong Kong Style Egg Tarts
These are absolutely delicious! I hesitated after seeing the mix reviews but decided to go ahead anyway.The recipe is easy to follow, and yes, the tarts taste like bought-from-store. I've reduced the sugar for the dough to 90gm and 100 gm for the custard as I do not like them too sweet. And yes, there is too much custard for the dough - you'll need 1.5 times of the dough to use up the custard. I've substituted evaporated milk with fresh milk and they still turn out great. I've tried replacing butter with margarine and regretted it - the tarts were bland. So just stick to butter. Will definitely make this again. My dad and husband were totally impressed! Thanks for the recipe :}

Carrot Cake
My cake turned out to be a carrot omelette. It was eggy and weird. After reading all the good ratings here, I suspected the fault lies in me. Double checked on the ingredients and realised that the measurement converter on this site is faulty. The recipe calls for 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of flour. As I use metric measurement, the recipe says 400gm of sugar and 250gm flour! Being an amateur baker, I did not sense something was wrong. I'll still rate this low because the converter should be correct. What a waste of ingredients. Nevertheless, I'll try this agian, with the correct measurements.
