My cooking tragedies
I DO NOT make gravy. I make paste. I haven't even tried to improve. My DH is a master at gravy-making.

Easy Cream of Chicken Rice Soup
It was delicious. I was disappointed though because it didn't thicken as much as I thought it would. It was rather runny. I also have no clue what Old Bay Seasoning is & what would be comparable. My son did not like it. I think it would have been good to add some vegetables like celery & carrots, but for once I followed the recipe closely, even down to the shredded chicken breast.

Hamburger Stew
I followed this recipe closely, but instead of using pork & beans, which I had used a couple of days ago, I had a can of bean with bacon soup. I was afraid I was going to have to throw out what I had prepared. It was redeemed by a frozen pkg of mixed veggies. Out of 5 at supper, only 3 liked it & 2 didn't get enough to eat. I guess I'll be going back to my mother's recipe.

Baked Eggs
I used sliced provolone cheese instead of grated cheese. Instead of greasing the pan, I baked some bacon in the dripper pan before I added the egg mixture. Because this was going to be supper & I have some hearty eaters, I decided to layer bread in the bottom of the pan. Other than that, I made it as written. They loved it & it is a "have again."
