Made as written (only I halved the recipe) and it tastes awesome! Iced a two layer 9 inch cake very thinly - next time I'll make the whole recipe. :) Thank you!!

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
This was fantastic! I made it as written, except I used heavy cream instead of half and half simply because I didn't have any in my kitchen and didn't want to go to the store for just half and half. =) I didn't find the shells hard to fill and it didn't take as long as some of the other reviews. I have kids and used one of their baby spoons to spoon in the filling and it worked wonderfully! Next time I might try using the ziploc baggie to pipe the filling in the shells. . . . there will definitely be a next time!

Good but too sweet, omit all the sugar and they're much better.

Flavorful Flounder

Wasn't sure which recipe to try and I'm so glad I chose this one! Made it as is except I don't know how to grill. So I baked it in the oven. I baked it at 350* for 10 mins, added the topping and baked another five minutes. Will be making this again, no question! Thanks you!

I thought this was wonderful! I halved it as I was only cooking for 2 tonight and used canned diced tomatoes as I didn't have stewed tomatoes in my pantry. Will be making it again soon I'm sure and will try it with stewed tomatoes this time!

Turkey Pot Pie I

This was great! I substituted two very small potatoes and one can of cream of potato soup for the three potatoes mentioned. Otherwise, cooked according to directions! My kids were ecstatic they got to have a pie for dinner!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
I made this as written and when I took it out of the oven, noticed it was a little thick for a pumpkin roll. I rolled it up in the towel, gently, and it broke. I whipped up a second one, only I put this one in a 11x15 and it turned out wonderfully. I'd suggest using the larger pan, but making it as written other than that. It was a delicious! Thank you!

Chocolate Billionaires

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
Oh, my these are good. They are a mess, but here's what I did: I heated the caramel and water in the microwave. (I've had a few bad experiences with heating caramel and chocolate on the stovetop.) I mixed in the chopped pecans then dropped them by the teaspoonful onto greased waxed paper. After 10 minutes in the fridge, the caramel was still soft, so I took a nap and came back. The caramel was still soft, so I peeled the caramel mix off one by one and rolled them into a ball. Don't get me wrong, it was messy. After it was in a ball, I dipped it in the melted chocolate mixture (also melted in the microwave) with tongs and dropped it back onto the wax paper. Refrigerated them, and they are heavenly. Next time I will probably try and leave the caramel in the bowl that I melted it in, pop it in the fridge, then dip it out with a spoon to form a little ball, dip and drop onto greased wax paper. These are well worth the mess! And your fingers taste great when you're all done!
