About this Cook
I live in Chicago with my family and I love to get involved with tons of activities and projects, I try to finish most of what I start but I think that may be close to impossible.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking cajun foods because I grew up in Louisiana and my mawmaw always cooked like she was feeding the world.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to make a giant pot of jambalaya on my birthday and have people dig into the pot all night and serve themselves, I love to cook a gumbo around xmas and do the same, and I love red beans and sausage on sundays.
My cooking triumphs
I used a recipe of Emeril's to make roasted red snapper with crawfish cream sauce and crabcakes, it was soooo good. I felt like I should open a restaurant.
My cooking tragedies
I burned the last jambalaya I made to feed 25people. It was my birthday party and I am usually very critical of my food but for some reason I didn't cancel the party I would just tell people they had no idea what jambalaya is supposed to taste like when they told me it tasted so good. Trust me, it tasted like mesquite jambalaya!

Cauliflower and Broccoli Bake
Comfort food at it's cheesiest. We substituted rice milk for dairy milk and cut the amount by half based on other reviews. I used only broccoli and it was awesome! I cut the recipe down to 3 servings and 20minutes sufficed for cook time.

Movie Star Popcorn
Perfect blend of salt & butter! Best stovetop popcorn I've had yet. We make this recipe over and again.
