About this Cook
I am the mom/step-mom to five kids - all teenagers!!! I am a volunteer for Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness www.raogk.org and I am self-employed as licensed volleyball official, researcher, sports statistician and videographer.
My favorite things to cook
Almost anything! Right now (fall) I am into wild game as hubby is a hunter and it is deer season. Come winter it's soups and stews, either on the stove if I am home all day or in the slow cooker. Spring brings me into fresh early veggies (spinach & peas to name a few) and summer and fall is full with light easy meals as this is my busy time with my job.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Experimenting with one of my boys in the kitchen. My daughter doesn't care to cook, unfortunately. But everyone of my kids (four boys and the lone girl) know how to do basics.
My cooking triumphs
My first turkey 20 + years ago. My mom worked retail and she had to go to work on Thanksgiving morning and left me to cook the turkey. It came out perfectly golden brown and moist.
My cooking tragedies
Following my mom's cooking advice!! Unfortunately, she didn't inherit her mom's cooking gene and I did!!

Million Dollar Fudge
Not a bad recipe. I will definately make this again. I used a candy thermometer also and stopped at just over soft ball stage. The only downfall was I had to keep it in the fridge or it would turn all soft and mushy.

No Fail Fudge
Didn't like this recipe at all. It failed twice and I followed the directions to the letter. The hubby and kids used it as fudge sauce for ice cream.
