Definitely should reduce the tahini, otherwise very good.

Southwestern Pork Medallions with Cinnamon Couscous and Peach Chutney

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
Very nice - spicy! (Too spicy for our kids). I left out the jalepeno in the chutney, and actually used bulgur instead of couscous, which was still very good. The chutney was lovely!

Bulgur Wheat with Dried Cranberries

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
Way too much boullion; need to reduce it a lot. Probably a teaspoon per cup of water would suffice. Nice with cranberries.

Grilled Ham Steak Kabobs with Peach Slaw

Very nice seasoning on the ham; even my five-year-old loved it. I was short on peaches but nectarines made a nice substitution.

Rhubarb Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
Very good, but definitely reduce the sugar. I, too, added some fresh strawberries to the cooking pot, after the rhubarb had been cooking awhile. I doubled the recipe, using 12 cups of rhubarb and 5 cups of sugar and that was plenty sweet. I got twelve one-cup jars (which will be great for gifts) and almost 2 cups leftover for my own fridge. I did process them for 10 minutes.

Plum Pie

Too lemony for my taste, and way too much crust! The crust was like a nice cookie though.

Two Tier Strawberry Pie

Very nice, and so much better with the grenadine than the jello (I tried it both ways). Probably my new favorite way to enjoy strawberries!

Made this with canned lentils (19 oz can) and dried bread crumbs (1/2 cup). Excellent!

Cheddar Pear Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
Amazingly good! Very caramel-ly! I was lazy and didn't want to bother with a pie crust, so just made it as a crisp. I even left the peels on. I will make this again and again (a good way to use up too many ripe pears).
