Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
It was very good--I used leftover real cranberries instead of canned and it was good. I do think it would be better with pork roast though as that flavor always lends itself to sweet and tangy. But it was good and I would make it again.

Irish Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
My family thought this was excellent stew. I altered it a bit and made it in a slow cooker over 8 hours on low, I added the potatoes after 4 hours of cooking (because they get really mushy the full time) and added the flour at the end to thicken it. Mmmm, I will definitely make this again.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
Awesome recipe and I've tried 3 or 4. This one is moist but not too greasy. I made half the batch with raisins (1 loaf) and half without. Both are a big hit.

Stuffed Leg of Lamb with Balsamic-Fig-Basil Sauce

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
This was one of the best lamb dishes I've ever had, it was restaurant quality. I was so impressed. I didn't have fresh figs so I used dried and it was still wonderful. Definitely a keeper!!!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
I made this for New Years Eve and everyone loved it! I used about 2/3 C Cheddar in place of the Parmesan b/c I didn't have enough Parmesan and the cheddar was great in it. I also followed another reviewer's advice and used 4 oz jalepeno's and that gave it a perfect kick. I would definitely make this again.

Pancake and Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This recipe is quite heavy and dense...I was hoping for something more like a McGriddle and this wasn't it. Maybe that other reviewer had an idea of using a more shallow pan. For me, this recipe is really missing the egg taste. It contains egg in the batter but I think it needs actual eggs. I don't think I would make it again.

Surprise-in-a-Pocket Cupcakes

Really good cupcake frosting, add sprinkles/toppings immediately though because after it cools completely, they won't stick.

Rosemary-Scented Pork Loin Stuffed With Roasted Garlic, Dried Apricots and Cranberries and Port Wine Pan Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
This was good--I swapped the apricots for apricot jam and apple jelly for real diced apples. I also used a pork shoulder instead but it was very good, nice flavors. The only suggestion is to not put the jelly glaze on until the last 1/2 hour because it burns on the pan pretty badly (because of the sugar).

Pumpkin Soup

This is very good, I substituted evaporated milk and one apple for one of the potatoes and it was very good.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
I didn't have onion soup and instead used 1 small onion, added some worcestershire and sour cream at the end to make a beef stroganoff dish. I served it over noodles and it was a big hit with my family.

Penuche

Awesome. I whipped it for 5 or so minutes on high speed after it was cooled a bit from the stove and that made all the difference.

Very good, but VERY sweet, more like cake. Also, recipe makes more than 2 loaves...it made 2 additional mini loaves for me.

It was good, it needed a bit more maple syrup for my liking.
