Mint Chocolate Truffle Cookies
About this Cook
I come from a big family and my mama taught me to cook and bake at a young age and always encouraged making up recipes. I like for whatever I cook or bake to please everyone so I choose my recipes carefully, especially since my mama is a vegan. I'm sick so I'm in pain the majority of the time, I like to be in the kitchen cooking or baking to keep my mind off the pain, I find it works quite well. I like to know what I have in the pantry so I can just be like "oh I wanna make this...or ohhhh that sounds good". I'm very spontaneous and so is my food.
My favorite things to cook
I love making sweet things! Anyway from cookies to ladyfingers to carrot cake. I love chicken 'n' dumplings and adore my mama's homemade chicken potpie she makes for my sisters and me. I love to try something that sounds VERY challenging, if I read it and I think "whoa...how do you do that!?" then I wanna try. I'm always looking for new things to try.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Christmas are the 2 holidays that I can ALWAYS remember cooking with all the women in the kitchen and normally something seriously hilarious happening!
My cooking triumphs
I really consider anything that I make to be a triumph. Just to be able to cook or bake that well should be considered the triumph.
My cooking tragedies
WHERE TO START!? From tears to LMAO at myself. From second degree burns to blowing things up to making the turkey fly!...there really is never a dull moment with me, my mama or sisters when it comes to cooking!

BAKER'S Classic Chocolate Fudge
My family loved these! My niece helped me make them, the only thing we did differently was we melted the chocolate and butter on the stove. SO YUMMY

Mint Chocolate Truffle Cookies
My niece and I made these together, she is 6 and just had a blast. We melted the chocolate and butter on the stove instead of the microwave. They turned out wonderful! I ended up making 60 of them so they went out to other people and EVERYONE just loved them...said they were the BEST EVER!!! thank you for the recipe :) I cook/bake to keep my mind off my pain(sickness) so while they were in the figde for 3 hours I made banana bread.
