About this Cook
hello :) i'm a sophomore in high school (yay broad run!!), and i looove to bake...and cook. i would consider myself the more artistic type; i spend my time decorating my clothes/plain shirts with paint and embroidery thread and adding to my total collage of a wall. i have a passion for creating things, and food is really something that you can just get creative with. i'm always on allrecipes looking for something new to try, or something to retry, and i really like how i can read through the reviews and see what other people thought. they really make a difference in my choosing of recipes. thanks reviewers!!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake breads and different cookies, preferrably low sugar and healthier because my mom is diabetic. When I cook, I enjoy simple things like italian cuisine, but i'm a pescetarian (no meat, but seafood), which only makes it more interesting.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom always makes the usual, you know, spaghetti, tacos, steak every once in a while. She's actually really started to get back into Asian cooking (we're chinese) and she's making some soy sauce chicken right now. i just mastered sticky rice last night (delicious!!) and i should really put that on this site...she also makes an amazing stir fry, apple pie, and tomato sauce (not together). Also, my sister makes awesome strawberry cake and...pretty much everything else amazing too.
My cooking triumphs
I was so proud the time I made cornbread for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a recipes from allrecipes and it was fantastic (sweet cornbread). I've also (I must say) make amazing quesadillas, but i'm known for always baking something for special occasions (must try golden chocolate chip cookies!!).
My cooking tragedies
Oh wow, cooking tradedies. One time, I tried to make my mom low carb banana muffins but put too much Splenda and not enough real sugar....not that great. um, didn't put boiling water in for chocolate cake and thought recipe read 1/2 cup water, instead of 1/3 :)

Banana Bread II
very good!! makes very moist bread, with good banana taste...i feel like something is missing though...will probably add some cinnamon or nutmeg or something next time. good recipe though.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake I
i forgot the boiling water!!!!! after putting the batter into the oven i realized i left out the boiling water!!! shocker though...it was really delicious even without but a bit dry. i won't hold that against this recipe though. the water probably would have made it moister.

Robbi's M&M Cookies
made these twice so far...they are amazing!!! one of the only cookies i have found that are perfectly crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside...mmm...if your batter is a bit runny (which mine were)just add a bit more flour to thicken it up (as told by previous reviewer).
