Easy Pizza Sauce II

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
I added sugar as mentioned by another reviewer but didn't change anything else. This was great! Much better than the bottled pizza sauce.

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
This was my first time making pecan pie. I followed the recipe exactly other than lowering the temp as suggested by others. Placed in deep dish crust. Turned out perfectly. Best served warm.

Squash and Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
After reading other reviews, I added oregano and basil for more flavor, topped the vegetables with bread crumbs, and decreased the butter. I still, however, found this to be too soupy and lacking in flavor.

Simple Spinach Lasagna

This was good, but next time I'll only use one package of spinach and will add more spices.

Five-Cheese Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
Based on other reviews, I used one package of frozen chopped spinach, all ricotta cheese and no cottage cheese, and the Kraft parmesan/romano/asiago mix. Turned out great! One pack of shells made enough for me to freeze and we had 3 meals (for 2 people) off of this one recipe!

Sunday Chicken and Stuffing

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
I used to make this a few years ago and had a craving for it last week. This is the same recipe I used before except for I recommend spreading the stuffing over the chicken breasts and then pouring the soup mixture over everything.

Quick and Easy Taco Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
This didn't last long! I followed the advice of another reviewer and added sliced black olives over the cheese topping. I also found that this looked better in a glass 9 in pie dish rather than the 8 in casserole dish.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
Everyone loved this! I followed the advice of other reviewers and replaced the raspberries with blueberries, used raspberry preserves and fuji apples and omitted the white sugar. The tortilla chips were messy, but were worth it.

Easy to make! They were a big hit at my Christmas party! No one could believe that I made them and that I didn't buy them.

Gunline Coffee

Very easy and a great gift. I've made this twice. The first time was good, but left a bitter taste (maybe because I used generic coffee). The second time I used Maxwell House and it came out great.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
This was my first time making pumpkin pie. Everyone loved it and it was so easy to make. This recipe actually had enough pie filling for two crusts. This was less spicy than pumpkin pies I'm used to, but delicious!

Onion Pan-Fried Pork Chops.

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
I added 1/4 c. breadcrumbs as mentioned in other reviews and made sure I seasoned the chops with kosher salt and pepper before breading. They were excellent! The onion flavoring in the pan with drippings made great gravy!

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
The best way to deal with the salt and vinegar flavors are to add a little more mayo and mustard and to have the completed eggs sit in the fridge overnight. The next day the vinegar flavor is not as overpowering. Since I found this recipe, everyone asks for me to bring these eggs to every dinner or party.

I tried this recipe twice and could never get the dough to work. I only have a hand held mixer which may have been the problem.

Puppy Chow

A holiday necessity. I use a whole box of Crispix, a jar of PB, a bag of chips, and a box of powdered sugar. Very easy to make, hard to mess up. Just make sure to gently shake the mixture in the sugar so you don't end up with pieces of cereal and clumps of powdered sugar.

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
I am known for messing up homemade cookies, but these turned out pretty nice. I added an extra tsp of vanilla and extra 1/4 tsp of salt as mentioned by another reviewer. I made sure to take them out as soon as the centers were no longer wet (7 mins on my oven). They were still soft and tasty the next day.

Cocktail Wieners II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
I used two packages of wieners as suggested by other reviewers and cooked the sauce with the weiners on low in a crockpot for a few hours. Even with the two packages, though, the sauce was thick and more than needed. We had to fish around in the sauce for the wieners. The jelly and cocktail sauce flavors cancelled each other out and left an unimpressive taste. Will not use again.
