I love casseroles because with our schedule, they fit in perfectly. I also love baking, especially cookies. Every Christmas I make at least 9 different kinds of cookies and bring them to work to share with my co-workers or give them as presents to friends. Every family get together, my mother always made broccoli casserole. With its breadcrumb crust and broccoli/cheese filling, we all loved it. It was the first dish I ever made for my husband. Teaching my cooking-inept husband how to make beef stew. It was a great accomplishment...for both of us. Before he met me, he couldn't make a grilled cheese sandwich or even Hamburger Helper. Now his meatloaf is even better than my own.
