Chocolate Hazelnut Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
This cake was absolutely exquisite. Everything about this cake was delectable. I particularly enjoyed that this wonderfully chocolate cake was not too heavy. Like another reviewer mentioned -- I recommend letting your cream warm to room temperature before adding it to the chocolate -- or simply heat it in the microwave for a few seconds to warm. This will prevent the chocolate from seizing. One other note, when I chilled the filling for 30 minutes it was way too stiff to spread -- but maybe my refrigerator was too cold. In any case, I would skip that step next time. All in all this was a wonderful recipe and I received nothing but rave reviews!

Iced Tea I

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
I've been making iced tea this way for a long time, however I only use 4 teabags and I only steep it 4 minutes. It comes out perfect every time! People are always asking how I make my tea!

Chicken Encilantrada

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
This was a super easy recipe to make, but I was a bit disappointed with the outcome. I didn't find it to be as flavorful as I was expecting. While I did enjoy this recipe, it wasn't good enough that I will make it again.

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
This frosting is awesome! Although I did have to follow the advice of others and cut the sugar in half. Even with half the sugar this frosting was quite sweet. But, the texture, consistency and flavor are outstanding. Also keep in mind that if you cut the sugar way back it doesn't make nearly as much frosting. I ended up making two batches to frost my three layer cake. And like other reviewers I also feel the key to this frosting is beating it for 4 to 5 minutes. This is how it gets such a wonderful fluffy consistency. This recipe is a real winner!

Vietnamese Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2007
This is an outstanding and easy recipe! The flavors meld together perfectly to create a delicious sandwich. The only change we made was to use pork tenderloin in place of the boneless pork loin chops. This is a keeper!

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2007
This is absolutely the best peanut butter frosting. It is very light and fluffy and so easy to make. The first time I made it I did feel that it was too sweet, so the second time I made it I cut the sugar in half and it was absolutely perfect! Everyone that tried it absolutely loved it. Will definitely be a keeper. As others have said, make sure you beat it really well as that is what makes it so wonderfully fluffy.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
SO good! These were very simple to make and I especially appreciated that no mini muffin tin was required (as in many similar recipes.) These were just fantastic and were gone in a flash. They are soft and chewy with just the right amount of peanut butter flavor. I'll be making these again for Christmas!

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

Excellent and very easy to make. I followed some advice from other reviewers and let my eggs and milk go to room temperature. These were perfect and melt-in-your mouth. I will definitely make these again.
