I am going to give these cookies five stars for TASTE, but the presentation was not what I was looking for. The dough was very wet, and they spread out very thinly yet had a cakey texture. They tasted delicious, but I would have been embarrased to serve them or bring them to anything. I did really enjoy the taste though, so I could see us making them again. Thanks!

Winter Energy Cookies

Divine!! Very filling and hearty. I didn't have wheat germ on hand, so I substituted with flax seeds. No problems at all. Perfectly moist. Love these!!! Thanks

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Wow. I wasn't inspecting much, and I just threw the ingredients together in a bowl and slapped them on a cookie sheet. THEY ARE DIVINE!! I used margarine instead of shortening, and they turned out perfectly. Very moist and chewy in the middle and crispy on the edges. They taste like Subway cookies, only better!!

Dutch Almond Boterkoek

THESE ARE INCREDIBLE! So easy and sooooooo good! I just used an average glass casserole dish, and it worked out fine. These were halfway between a cookie and a cake, but they cut very easily and held their shape. This recipe would make a divine crust. Highly recommended! So easy and quick, and the almond taste is gourmet--reminiscent of marzipan. I'll be making these again. THANKS!!

Easy Granola Bars

First of all, did you know you can make sweetened condensed milk at home? It's way cheaper and easy! Yes, this granola bar recipe is a great base, although I did find it didn't stick together quite as well as I had hoped. I used half instant oats and half regular oats (because I ran out of instant), and it turned out fine. We added lots of crazy ingredients, and they were delicious! I used the crumbles as granola and ate with milk. Yummy! Thanks

Tortillas II

These turned out perfectly, and they were my first attempt at tortillas. BUT HOLY COW, ROLLING THIN TORTILLAS IS EXHAUSTING! We rolled them extremely thinly, because we needed them to be large enough for our recipe ("Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos"). Once we got them rolled out (worked fine, but is tiring) and cooked in a cast-iron pan, they were divine to work with. They were crispy, but were still maleable enough to fill to the brim and roll. I give this recipe an A+, but, man, rolling is a lot of work!

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Delicious! As per other reviewers, we used half kidney beans and half black beans; other than that, I made the recipe exactly as posted, and it turned out perfectly. The combination of these two flavours is divine! We'll be making these again, for sure. We ate a ton of them today, and we've frozen the rest.

Amish White Bread

Oh my Gosh, I can make BREAD!! Whenever I let the dough sit/rise, I put the bowl in the oven, which was slightly heated. Make sure your yeast is alive and is really foamy and has risen a lot (my first attempt at making this, my yeast was dead and it barely changed at all--then I had problems with the dough and I ended up throwing it out). I cooked the bread in a glass loaf pan and it came out fine. Glorious bread. THANKS!

Easy Pesto

Yum!! We used pine nuts instead of almonds, and we didn't quite have enough basil so it ended up being quite garlicky tasting, but we loved it and it tasted so fresh and delicious. Thanks!!

Rolled White Cookies

Fantastic!! I've always had trouble with rolled cookies, but these were so easy!! I only refrigerated for twenty minutes or so, and they were so easy to roll and cut out! The dough was moist and very easy to handle. This'll be my staple rolled-cookie recipe from now on. THANKS!!

Banana Banana Bread

Easy! I used 6 bananas that I have thrown into the freezer. I didn't add anything extra, and it was plain and delicious. Of course, it would be even better with cinnamon, walnuts, raisins, chocolate chips, etc. Thanks for this excellent, banana-y base!

Vegetable Cutlets

These were easy, and I really liked the idea in general. However, the recipe definitely lacked some oomph. Next time, I would definitely double the garam masala, because I couldn't really taste the spices at all (I did go easy on the cayenne though, because I don't care for hot spiciness). Thanks for a good idea. I might try this again but use different vegetables and experiment with the spicing. Thanks!

Butter Chickpea Curry

WOW!! My first attempt at Indian food. DELICIOUS! My changes, after reading the reviews: I only used 2 potatoes and added the equivalent in cauliflower to make up for the missing 2 potatoes (I steamed the cauliflower first). I did use the tomato soup base (couldn't recognize the taste at all). This had a phenomenal taste--flavourful but not very spicy. THANK YOU!

Graham Cracker Crust

Could be my mistake, but I wasn't watching my measurements very closely and this ended up coming out very dry. If you are going to err on one side, I'd add some extra butter.
