About this Cook
I am a wife and new mother who finds joy in cooking. I offset my love for good food with running and exercise and believe that cooking for others is a great way to demonstrate love and caring. Food is a big part of my heritage and I am a work in progress as I create a similar legacy for my own family.
My favorite things to cook
I love grilling, world cuisine, recipes that add flair to fruits and vegetables, smoothies, and baking. I try to be health conscience but also believe in splurging too. If I eat something full of calories though, it better be a delicious, gooey, homemade cinnamon roll, rather then a processed sugar cookie.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad is a great cook and my mom is a great baker. Armenian food is comfort food to me because it reminds me of home and big family gatherings. I am not the best baker, but my mother's breads, pies, and cinnamon rolls are unmatched.
My cooking triumphs
I get great satisfaction when my husband enjoys a meal I make. I only really cooked in college when I had someone to cook for, but while I am totally not domestic in other areas, I have the goal to become an amazing cook. I love entertaining and am also a firm believer that we are what we eat and should take greater care regarding what we put into our bodies.
My cooking tragedies
I made fortune cookies once that turned out as blobs that tasted like plastic.

Roasted Cauliflower Soup
Great recipe. Cauliflower and nutmeg sure are a perfect marriage. I pureed some of the cauliflower with milk to make the soup thicker. My two year old even liked this. Thanks!

Clone of a Cinnabon
Fabuloso! I added raisins to the rolls and orange zest to the frosting.

Crispy Orange Beef
This definitely isn't good for you, but it tastes awesome! The broccoli and brown rice I served this with, made me feel a little less guilty for making my family beef covered in sugar for dinner. I doubled the sauce by the way.
