Brown Sugar Oatmeal Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
These were really good. My family enjoyed them. They are a very thick pancake so that is the only reason I gave them one less star. I would like them to be a little more fluffier.

Cinnabun Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Very Good! I didn't put the filling in on the cookie sheet before putting the cookie on. I made 3/4 of the filling recipe and put it all in the center of the cookie. I also placed the cookies in the freezer for a couple minutes before baking. Make sure you do not add too much flour to the dough when rolling out and allow to slightly warm up to room temperature before you roll into a ball. Hope that helps!

Parmesan Herb Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
This didn't work for me. I put it in my bread machine and thought after that I should have halved it. Sure enough, I have a overflowed mess! Plus with the addition of the all purpose flour it was almost cakey to me. This just wasn't my thing. Maybe I could try again, but I"m not sure I will.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

I halved the recipe and it came out great. It was a little on the salty side, so I would suggest lower sodium soup.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread

This bread is awesome. I actually made some pearsauce and put it in instead of the applesauce but it was great. We ate it warm right out of the oven. Yum!

True Blue Custard Crunch Pie

I really liked the blueberries and topping, but the custard part really didn't add anything special for me. It wasn't bad, it just really wasn't like I expected.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
These were good, definetely something I'd make again. I used the butter recipe cake mix and replaced the water with milk and used the butter in place of the oil. I used my own chocolate chip cookie recipe and made homemade chocolate buttercream. The only problem I had with them was that a couple of them sunk in the middle a little. I thought it was because the centers didn't get done, but they were, so I'm not sure what happened.

One Dish Chicken Bake

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
We really liked this. I made it as is, however, I did bake it a little longer and at the temp 400 to make sure the chicken was done. The chicken was so moist and delicious!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
The taste of this cookie is good (I added a little extra vanilla and 1/2 tsp butter extract to it).. However, I felt I had to use too much flour to keep it from sticking to the rolling mat.

Cream Cheese Crust

I made this recipe this weekend with strawberry cream cheese for a triple berry pie. It was really good. The pie crust almost "melts" in your mouth.

Thick Cut-Outs

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
Right now, this is the only cookie recipe I use. However, I do change it a bit, so I only gave it four stars. I add 1 Tbsp. of vanilla, 1 tsp butter extract, and I use butter flavored crisco in place of half of the butter to prevent spreading.

I made these for my sons birthday party. They were good. I don't think they were anything "special", but I would make them again if I wanted something like this.

Buffalo Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
Living my whole life in Buffalo, this was right up my alley! We loved it. I did make a few small changes, used boneless chicken instead of ground, used half of the chili powder, no cumin, and 2/3 cup buffalo sauce. And I did it in the crockpot. Great Recipe!

Mimi's Giant Whole-Wheat Banana-Strawberry Muffins

These were just ok. They were moist, but almost too dense for my liking. Next time I think I would try 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 regular flour.

Hummingbird Cake I

This recipe is really good, but not really anything special. I was surprised that you could taste the pineapple. I substituted applessauce for 1 cup of the oil.

Cheese and Broccoli Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
I changed this receipe a bit to adapt to our needs but it was delicious. I eliminated the chicken, used 1/2 broccoli and 1/2 cauliflower, used 2 % milk velveeta cheese, used chicken broth instead of the water and chicken cubes, and used milk instead of cream. I would make again!

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies II

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
These were so good. I didn't have condensed milk, so I baked them with the cookie and cherry and then after they cooled, drizzled icing over them. I made the icing out of powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and cherry syrup. I'd definetely make them again, dh loved them and he doesn't even like cherries.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
I made this with pork chops. It was ok. I would consider making it again. There was a strong root beer flavor to it (I marinaded meat in rootbeer overnight), and I'm not a big rootbeer fan, so that's probably why I think it was just ok. DH loved rootbeer and enjoyed it.

Butterfinger Chunkies

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
These were a good variation to the typical peanut butter cookie. I used butter flavored criso in place of 1/2 the butter to help them hold their shape. I baked on parchment paper so that they butterfingers wouldn't stick to the pan when melted. Turned out good! New Update: made with reese peanut butter cups and were delicous too! Family favorite here!
