About this Cook
I'm in the kitchen all the time! My kids, (9 & 7) are sloooow, picky eaters, so I have to get creative with the foodstuffs. (Thank you, AllRecipes!) My hubby (whom I adore), likes for food to appear out of thin air. He says it tastes better that way. ::Rolls eyes:::
My favorite things to cook
In the winter: COMFORT FOODS!! Bring on the Goulash!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Having my kids stirring, rolling, salting food in my kitchen. They love to help!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I produce something edible. ;)
My cooking tragedies
I can remember trying to feed 30 people on a video shoot in the middle of a ranch, no nearby restaurants and the oven wasn't working. There were tears shed that night.

Old Fashioned Rice Pudding
I was SO happy to find a recipe just like my Nana's! Pull out your dutch oven for this and be sure to bring your milk to a boil slowly. That will ensure that your rice softens and the milk begins to reduce properly. I also used brown sugar and just a dash of salt- perfection! :D

Savory Deviled Eggs
Excellent recipe! I did use the balsamic vinegar like someone else suggested (just b/c I REALLY like balsamic). I also put the yolk mixture into a plastic bag, cut the tip off and piped it into the white half instead of spooning it in- very pretty. The entire doubled recipe was gone in less than 5 minutes after my family got to them. :)

Bird Rolls
Excellent recipe- and the kids REALLY enjoyed making the birdies. We added food coloring to ours to make little Blue Birds and for Easter I plan to make, pink, purple, blue and green ones! :)
