About this Cook
Im a young married mom of two beautiful boys. I always wanted to be like my mom and grandmother. Both are masters in the kitchen and i was always so proud of them. Im getting the oppurtunity of a lifetime now attending Le Cordon Bleu. Im learning so much and it's made me love this profession all the more.
My favorite things to cook
My favorites thing to cook include italian, cakes, roasts, and SOUPS!!! I love a good soup!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Oh gosh. Let's see We grew up eating good ole country style cooking, but my mom's style changed as we aged, and she has learned quite a bit about foreign foods. It has made me NEED to learn more about cooking as i know my parents wont always be around to spoil me rotten in the kitchen!!
My cooking triumphs
My biggest triumph over all is that i have finally bitten the bullet and begun school at Le Cordon Bleu. i LOVE IT!! My two proudest moments were when i was just getting started cooking. First i mastered my mom's version of chicken and dumplings from scratch. It is my all time favorite. The second was when i made (again my mom's recipe) the perfect batch of peanut butter cookies for my husband. He knew i was wife material when he came home to those one night!!
My cooking tragedies
oh gosh... there have been a handful, one included mistaking sugar for salt. *yikes!* another was when we tried to make hasbrowns from scratch...i sure wish i knew about this website when we made that DISASTER!!

Quick and Easy Chicken
my kids and hubby loved this, but it had too much of a ketchup-y taste to me...For such an easy meal it's worth trying!

Baked Potato Soup III
we made the recipe by the book, but i found it to be a lil thick. I added two cups of chicken stock to it, let it simmer for a while longer, added a lil extra salt n pepper and it was delicious!
